During most sports seasons whether it's at the end or it's at the beginning there's always someone accusing another person of being a bandwagoner. (that's not officially a word, but for this blog it will be.) I want to explain the understandable bandwagoners and the bandwagoners that are the dogs.
Favorite Player - You're favorite player happens to be Lebron James. You only liked the Cavs because he was on the team. If he hadn't picked to be on the Cavs you would never have worn a Cav jersey. Now, he's going to Miami and so will you. This is understandable.
Best Players are on the team - The Miami Heat Affect. You think because one team has decided to take some of the great players and mash them onto one team that Miami is the new team to be on. IF you're honest about being a fan because of the Heat Affect then okay. IF you say you've always liked the team and you know that everyone knows you're a Laker fan...please stop with the lies.
Playoffs- Once it's playoffs. I don't care what sport once it's playoffs everything gets all messed up. People that love the sport and their team is no longer in the playoffs have no team to cheer for, so they pick the one they like the most. Some people don't understand that this isn't bandwagon. This is loving the sport and supporting the sport.
Winning Syndrome - There's a time in the season when you can see who the best teams in the league are. If you drop you're team on it's head and run to a team with a winning record and act as if you had only been testing the waters.. please don't even talk.
Halftime Championship Change - This is when you're team has made it to the championship game and at halftime they're down by a lot and you don't believe there's any way to come back from this, so at halftime you start supporting the other team. Hints that someone is changing - They'll use anyways a lot. They'll start saying that some of the players weren't ever that great anyway, they were thinking about disowning the team anyways. It was his girlfriend who made him wear the jersey anyway.
Spastic Fan - The fan that every year has a new team. Without fail every year it's a new team. They'll start the year an Eagle fan and ride that wave. Then, next year they'll ride another wave. It's kind of crazy, but some people like to change things up.
It's a love hate for the bandwagoners.
